The Organization for Social Change Awareness and Responsibility (OSCAR) Foundation has used football to address community issues in the Ambedkar Nagar slum, Mumbai since 2006. With a strong focus on education, OSCAR aims to break the cycle of substance abuse, gambling and early marriage which particularly affects young people who have dropped out of school.

Using football as a medium for developing valuable life skills and responsibility, OSCAR currently reaches over 100 children in four different age groups. Football sessions take place several times a week, dealing with issues such as the importance of education, decision making, hygiene, awareness of child marriage and the environment.
