Football and HIV/AIDS

Over a quarter of the 40 million people worldwide who are living with HIV/AIDS are aged 15-24.  Many streetfootballworld network members, especially in African nations, are using football to help local communities fight the spread of this disease: to teach young people how to avoid infection, to help them get tested, to support them in dealing with the realities of HIV/AIDS and to encourage behaviour change.

In this section you will learn how streetfootballworld network members are overcoming prejudices and fears to inform and engage young people who are facing this epidemic.  It all starts with a simple game.
