Project description

The Kenya Community Sports Foundation, led by sports enthusiasts in Kenya, is working to deliver sports and health programmes to promote social cohesion. The organisation is specifically targeted at disadvantaged youths and adults in both urban and rural settings. Due to increasing unrest and violence carried out by youths in rural and urban areas of Kenya, the organisation aims to empower youths by positively engaging them in activities that reduce violence and HIV/AIDS vulnerability in Kenya and Uganda.
Coaches provide quality training accompanied by mandatory educational sessions, which promote healthy living. Furthermore, youths are offered advocacy training workshops that address important community issues. The goal is to empower young people, raise self esteem and discuss issues of disaffection among participants.
